Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS)
In an effort to minimize Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) accidents, the FAA has mandated installation of TAWS on all turbine-powered aircraft configured with six or more passenger seats in the U.S. The FlightLogic EFIS provides TAWS functionality that meets the requirements of the FAA mandate. The system includes Class C TAWS-Class B and Class A TAWS are available as options. Additionally, Chelton's EFIS is the only system in the world that provides 3-D terrain visualization directly on the Primary Flight Display.
